Advice & Safety Tips
- Keep the valuable things in the safe deposit box available at hotel room/reception – large sums of money, traveler's cheques, and personal documents such as passports and electronic air tickets.
- Get taxis on the main streets, for example, near the Police Station end or at the opposite end of Khaosan road. Avoid the taxis on Khaosarn Road, especially in front of the hotel. Those may be dishonest and charge you with expensive fares.
- Insist the Taxi driver to use the meter. For a precise destination, our receptionists can help you write your destination place in Thai.
- Do not go along with the taxis that promise free or low-cost sightseeing trips. In many cases, they take the customers to tailors & jewelry shops receiving commissions and disregard the places that customers want to go.
